Greater Manchester has some of the largest concentrations of warehousing and distribution space in the country, and big roofs move a lot of rainwater. When a gutter or outlet cannot cope, the water ends up inside, often over racking, stock or equipment.
ABS Cladding Services is a Wolverhampton-based industrial roofing and cladding contractor. In the Manchester area, we mainly work with organisations that want their roofs and gutters managed through a planned programme, whether that is a single large shed or several sites spread across the region and beyond. We do not do domestic work. With over 40 years’ experience, we are used to consistent reporting across multiple sites. Services
Planned preventative maintenance
We agree a visit schedule, then clear gutters and outlets, check fixings, laps, flashings and rooflights, carry out minor repairs and send a photographic report each time. Our multi-site work includes PPM across a number of NHS Supply Chain locations.
Roof refurbishment
If your roof is near the end of its life, refurbishment can often defer or avoid full replacement. Overlays, partial re-sheeting, cut-edge corrosion treatment, new flashings and liquid coatings are all options.
Roof inspections and leak investigation
A drip inside rarely sits directly under the fault. We trace water ingress back to its source before recommending any repair. Inspections from ground level are free. Surveys that need roof access are chargeable, and we quote the fee before we travel.
Gutter lining and maintenance
Relining is usually far cheaper than replacing long runs of corroded valley gutter. We install Fatra membrane linings with a 25-year warranty and liquid GRP linings with a 5-year warranty, and offer scheduled clearing as part of PPM.
Cladding repairs
We replace damaged sheets, repair composite panels and resecure loose cladding, including damage from vehicle impact in yards and loading areas.
Add-on services
Fire doors, roller shutters and windows can be included so one contractor covers more of the building.
