When the roof is fine, facilities managers rarely think about it. When it is not, it causes most of their problems. ABS Cladding Services works with commercial landlords and occupiers in and around Chester to keep that from happening. We plan maintenance properly, refurbish roofs before they fail and fix leaks at their source.
We should be upfront: we are a Midlands contractor, based in Wolverhampton, about 60 miles away. For Chester clients, that means planned, scheduled work: PPM visits, inspections and refurbishment programmes. We only take on commercial and industrial buildings. What we offer Chester sites
PPM contracts. Scheduled roof and gutter maintenance with a photographic report after every visit. Each visit includes outlet and gutter clearing, checks on fixings, sealants, flashings and rooflights, and minor repairs carried out there and then. We already run PPM for a group of NHS Supply Chain sites.
Roof refurbishment. Sheeted and flat roofs can often be given a second life with an overlay, selective re-sheeting, cut-edge corrosion treatment, renewed flashings or a liquid-applied system. We will advise honestly on whether refurbishment or replacement makes more sense.
Inspections and leak investigation. Ground-level leak inspections are free. Roof-access surveys are charged, and we always quote and agree the fee before travelling.
Gutter lining. Corroded valley and box gutters can be relined with Fatra membrane, which carries a 25-year warranty, or liquid GRP, which carries a 5-year warranty. Regular gutter clearing can be built into your PPM.
Cladding repairs. We replace damaged or corroded sheets, repair composite panels and reseal laps and flashings.
Doors, shutters and windows. We can also handle fire door, roller shutter and window work on the same building.
Relevant local experience. Clients in the region have included Lookers Renault. At its Chester car showroom, we delivered a new-build roofing and cladding package.

We price each job on its merits and will be clear about any travel element. Grouping visits through a PPM contract is usually the most cost-effective approach. All prices are exclusive of VAT.
